My College Planning Team is composed of professionals, from both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, who work together with families across the country to make sure no stone is left unturned to reduce costs and gain admission at a best-fit college. We assist families through free workshops, free consultations, and service plans.

We expect to reach about 5,000 families in the next academic year through over 150 workshops at libraries, high schools, and faith-based venues.

Our workshops are updated every year to address the most important issues in higher education and to assure that families have the most current information that may affect what they pay for college.

Since parents cannot speak about their finances in detail and may not feel comfortable discussing concerns regarding their children in a public forum, all workshops include a one-hour free consultation for those who wish to meet with us. During the workshop, families who are interested in a consultation, will have the opportunity to request that we contact them with more information.

Neither our workshops or our free consultations are sales pitches. They include useful, practical, and actionable information that middle-income families need to reduce college costs at a best fit college.

After each workshop, all evaluations are shared with our venue partners so they can monitor audience response.

Our service plans are designed for parents who wish to work with us more extensively. These plans are affordable to middle-income families. We are able to work on a sliding scale for families under financial stress and we serve low-income families in classroom sessions through our venue partners at no cost.

We expect to reach about 5,000 families in the next academic year through over 150 workshops at libraries, high schools, and faith-based venues.

To keep our prices for servicing students low, we use a large team of high school counselors, each with several years of experience in college admissions. The counselors provide our students with the one-on-one assistance they need at prices they can afford.

Our financial advisors are all fiduciaries to assure parents that they are getting the best advice possible on the strategies they can use to lower college costs.

In the interest of transparency, all prices are posted. Our venue partners and most current workshop offerings are also posted so that anyone may view them.

We invite all new prospective venue partners to meet with us to address any other concerns they may have about partnering with us to serve their communities.

We empower families of all income levels and students of all abilities to succeed in the college process.

Your goal is getting your students’ college degree in four years. Our goal is to accomplish that through the best college matches possible. We work to understand your student’s individual needs and to keep them on track through each step of the college search, application, selection process.

Should you start with our MCPT financial consultants or our college counselors? Either is fine; however, our advice is to start early. Our academic team works with students as young as 9th grade. Our MCPT financial team also encourages families to start as early as possible. If your child is already a high school junior, this is the time to focus on test prep. For seniors, the application process is urgent. However, we will find solutions for you at any stage in the process.

Our shared passion is to help all families attain quality higher education.

Our guiding principle is multi- faceted:

You don’t have to sacrifice your retirement to provide your child with a quality education.

Get your degree in 4 years, and get the very most out of your college experience!

College Academic Team

We have over 25 high school counselors on our academic team to fill the gap for students who are unable to get the help they require from their own high school counselor. Our counselors help students develop a balanced college list, explore majors, edit essays, and offer other support in the college admissions process.

We also have educational consultants who have years of direct experience in college admissions, academic advising, and student campus life for students who require more in-depth assistance with the admissions process. Our educational consultants constantly educate themselves about colleges to help create a successful transition from high school to college.

College Funding Team

Our college funding specialists will review your family’s financial situation to determine the best income, asset, borrowing and tax strategies to reduce your college costs. We also assist with the financial aid application process (including the FAFSA and CSS Profile), review your student’s financial aid award letters and, if necessary, help you appeal your student’s financial aid package.

Our independent 3rd party advisors, which consist of Certified Financial Planners, public accountants and attorneys, will present you with specific financial options to help reduce your college costs without impacting your overall financial goals and savings.

Targeted Tutoring Team

Specializing in ACT and SAT preparation, our expert instructors use an approach targeted to your areas of need. We engage you in a way that will impact your scores quickly and efficiently. Customized for each student, we focus on achieving the best scores in the shortest amount of time–no long, weekly group classes reviewing what you already know! Our one-on-one tutoring saves families time and money.

Financial Aid Team

Our Financial Aid team has experience working in the college financial aid environment. This team consults with the MCPT financial strategies team and academic teams as necessary in the final decision making, especially if an appeal is necessary. Our student and parent loans specialists are also available to show you the best loan options available to you and your student.
